Hello, mom. Yes, I'm talking to you, who are probably reading this with one hand while with the other you're trying to keep your coffee from getting cold for the fifth time this morning or dodging a toy in the hallway. Let me tell you something you need to hear today: you're doing amazing.
Being a single mom or running a single-parent family is not a bed of roses; it's more like a rollercoaster where you are the engineer, the driver, and the one cleaning up the popcorn from the floor at the end of the day. When I started writing my story, I didn't do it with the idea of becoming anyone's spiritual guru, because, let's be honest, we already receive enough unsolicited opinions throughout the week without someone else coming to tell us how to live. I simply did it because I discovered that when you share your own falls, your mistakes, and those surreal situations where you don't know whether to laugh or cry, something amazing happens. You realize you are not alone.
My first book was born precisely from that, from the depths of a mother who has had to learn to react calmly when the world seemed to turn upside down. I wanted to capture reality unfiltered, from the adrenaline of making radical decisions to protect your little one's future, to the extreme art of stretching the budget, dealing with impossible moves, or surviving adolescence and its mysteries. It's an honest journey, with touches of humor and a lot of complicity, designed to be that invisible hug we all need when exhaustion hits. And life is made of that, of falls and the wonderful ability we have to get up stronger. If today you feel that the routine weighs you down, take a moment for yourself, take a deep breath, and remember that every step you take is building a home full of love and authenticity.
For now, we'll continue enjoying this journey together, but don't go too far, because in the next article I'm going to tell you about a completely new adventure that changed the way I see the world.
